These act as an inexpensive and versatile alternative to tradition solar cells. The collaboration hopes to produce a marketable prototype in the next three years.

Support for diabetes research
The European Union’s Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) have announced that their successful diabetes project, IMIDIA, will receive up to €1 million in additional support. The milestone-based funding comes from JDRF, the largest supporter of research to cure, treat and prevent 1 diabetes (T1D).
