What is RSS?
In short, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it allows you to stay up to date with the latest content you are interested in without having to visit the website you are subscribed to. RSS takes the hassle out of having to visit multiple websites by allowing you to read the latest information in one central location using an RSS reader.

An RSS reader is software that manages your RSS feeds. They automatically update you with the latest content. There are many different RSS readers (some are listed on the right hand side of this page) and most of them tend to be free to download and use.
